HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT DO YOU SUPPLY FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDING?

We have raised beds and blankets available for bedding but if you wish to bring bedding from home that is not a problem. Please understand that your dog may not chew their bedding at home but may do so while staying at the resort. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your items will return home undamaged. You may prefer to bring an item that smells of home, such as a shirt or a small blanket.

HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?

We are available via phone and email if you wish to check in on your furry friends. Keep in mind - humans need their rest too so there may be delays in responding to inquiries made outside business hours!

MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?

Dream Acres Pet Resort will feed your dog(s) according to their regular schedule, with the food you have provided.
We have available fridges / freezers to accommodate and specialty diet items.

WILL MY PETS HAVE THEIR OWN SPACE DURING THEIR STAY?

Our guests will sleep in their private, secure runs in the kennel area at night. If two dogs from the same household have booked in for one night stay, they will be staying in the same run. If have multiple dogs that require their own space, please speak to our staff prior to your stay.

All precautions are in place to provide a safe and happy stay. Cameras with built-in alarms are installed in the kennel building for 24/7 monitoring of your pets.

WHAT WILL MY PETS DO DURING THE DAY?

We will exercise by playing in our field, playground and pond both morning and afternoons.
Weather permitting we will be outside for 2-3 hours in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Your dog(s) will have in and out access to their private run during quiet time and before lights out at 10:00 pm. We always finish the night with a tuck in, bedtime cookie and reminder that they are loved!

DO YOU HAVE RESTRICTIONS ON THE PETS YOU WILL BOARD?

If you have any concerns about your pets behaviour during their stay, please contact our team to discuss wether or not a stay at the resort would be the right fit for them.

DO YOU PROVIDE PICK UP AND DROP OFF SERVICES?

Currently, we are unable to offer pick up / drop off services for your pets. This is a service our team is working towards and updates will be posted as these services become available.

Care for Your Furry Friends

Thank you for choosing Dream Acres Pet Resort for doggy daycare and boarding! Whether or not your dog has been involved in a doggy daycare program before, Dream Acres Pet Resort is a little different than many other resorts. We offer outdoor unlimited, all day play. All dogs do take a 1.5-2 hours for lunch to rest, and can rest anytime during the day as they like, however daycare is a fun way to socialize, play and come home tired, happy and ready to snuggle with their family.

Things to Know

  • Your dog may come home unusually tired; it is not abnormal for he/she to be tired the entire next day. That is the point of daycare after all!

  • Sometimes, energy creates energy. Though dogs get the opportunity to rest, your pup may still be amped up when they get home. They will have missed you and want to engage in play with you for a few minutes. It will likely be short lived compared to non-daycare days though.

  • Dogs may be unusually hungry or thirsty on daycare days. They have an ample supply of fresh water both inside and outside but we can only lead them to water, not make them drink :)  Running and playing creates a big appetite too!

  • Please note that our daycare is outdoors. That means on rainy days your dog is likely to get wet, dirty or muddy.

  • We do not offer complimentary bathing service. Please be prepared to bring towels for your vehicle for the ride home on rainy and snowy days.

  • Our property is very much like a farm. We do our best to remove burrs and thorn bushes from the property but it is always possible the dogs will find these plants before we do, as they explore with their friends. We will always strive to remove any burrs from your pups coat but there is always the possibility they will go home with a little extra than when they arrived :)

  • Accidents can happen, and injuries can occur; that is the risk of dogs playing together. As it states in our intake paperwork, Dream Acres Pet Resort and its staff are not responsible for any incidents that may occur during doggy daycare. The risk is quite low, but it is the same concept as children going to daycare and playing on the playground or otherwise interacting

Thank you again for choosing us for your daycare needs!
